Small Business Grants NSW $3,000

Small Businesses play a very vital role in developing Australian economy. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, these businesses are suffering financially. So, the State Government and the Federal Government are looking forward to helping these types of businesses by giving them financial assistance, so they could improve economically, create employment, and sustain. Below mentioned are a few grants the New South Wales government is providing to its small businesses.

New South Wales Support Grant for Northern Beaches

The Support Grant for the Northern Beaches is a one-time hardship grant for not-for-profits and small enterprises, which are impacted by the shutdown in late 2020. A one-time grant of $3,000 to $5,000 is available. Funds are available for these businesses to help them financially recover from the recent lockdowns due to Coronavirus.

Grants are available for:

  • Activities in marketing and communication
  • Utilities and rents, or unavoidable business operational costs
  • Financial, legal, and other advice to aid with company continuity planning
  • Tasks that support the business operations

Eligibility Criteria

You must meet the following requirements to be eligible:

  • Have up to 20 full-time equivalent workers or be self-employed
  • Having a yearly revenue of greater than $75,000 as of March 1, 2020
  • As of 1 July 2020, having total Australian earnings below $1.2 million

Community and Small Business CCTV Fund NSW

Small companies in certain local government areas can apply for assistance from the Community and Small Business CCTV Fund to assist them to install CCTV systems in their premises. Up to $5,000 in funding is available. The following Local Government areas have funding available for the supply and installation of closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems in their business locations.

  • Camden
  • Liverpool
  • Campbell the town
  • Fairfield
  • Parramatta
  • Penrith

Eligibility Criteria

You must meet the following requirements to be eligible:

  • Business must be registered
  • Be in one of the ten qualifying local government areas in Sydney’s west and south
  • Have fewer than 20 employees or a turnover of less than $2 million

Applications of Community and Small Business CCTV Fund NSW are now open and will close on 30 June 2022.

Regional Skills Relocation Grant NSW

The Regional Skills Relocation Grant assists enterprises in covering the costs of relocating eligible skilled individuals. Up to $10,000 in funding is available. The money could be used for a variety of purposes, including:

  • Relocating your furniture
  • Storing your furniture (for up to 3 months)
  • Temporary housing (for up to 3 months)

You can apply for the Regional Skills Relocation grant NSW at any time.

Eligibility Criteria

You must meet the following requirements to be eligible:

  • Creating at least 5 full-time equivalents (FTE) jobs
  • Hiring someone with a job title from the NSW Skilled Occupation List
  • Transferred from a metropolitan location to regional NSW
  • Operate in an eligible industry and be based in regional NSW or be relocating to regional NSW
